KDE released Plasma 6.7.5 on September 8, 2026, the fifth maintenance update to the Plasma 6.7 series. The release contains no new features and focuses entirely on bug fixes and stability improvements across the compositor, the software center, the desktop shell, and several system components.

Plasma 6.7 is being supported longer than a typical release cycle to give distributions a stable base while KDE finishes work on the Wayland-only Plasma 6.8 series, due October 14, 2026. The next 6.7 update, Plasma 6.7.6, is scheduled for November 3, 2026.

Discover

  • Fixed a related regression that caused a plain update to be mistakenly flagged as requiring a reboot.
  • Fixed Discover failing to check for updates when its fwupd integration is present but the background fwupd process quits early while Discover is still running.

  • Fixed the RPM-OSTree notifier querying null pointers.
  • Restricted DEB package installation offers to distributions that natively support DEB packages.
